The Sunflower Bulletin Board
Thank you for visiting. It would be fun if you could Add a comment or
two to this bulletin board.
My daughter Anushri has enjoyed every single minute of this past year
at Sunflower, and we are all sad that it has to come to an end...she will join
BIS in Jan. Thank you to all the teachers, especially Sangeeta and Amisha, without
whom this great year would not have been possible...

Thank you to all the parents who have visited the school website. Please do
so on a continuous basis and be surprised. I'd also like to take this opportunity
to thank everyone at Sunflower for making school just "so special and fun"
for Veda. She has blossomed into a confident young girl since she joined Sunflower
last year. I've been on the working committee for a year now and have enjoyed
every minute of it. I would advise the mums to go ahead and be a part of it and
you\'ll realize the effort that goes into making Sunflower what it is.."Special".

As part of the last Parent meeting, I felt embarrassed that I had not been
on the site. It is wonderful and a real reflection of the fun and dynamic school
that makes Sunflower so special. My daughter Allegra adores her time at school
and talks to everyone about 'her school'. Thank you, Samantha Nayar

with all the presentations at the last PTA Absolutely professional
and oodles of fun. I consider myself privileged to have secured admission
for Arhan and truly look forward to sending him to Sunflower in Jan 2006. I

It was a real good experience to attend the PTA yesterday. My older daughter
completely agrees with the discussion on the child feeling so good and important
about "my mama came to school". Avni will be joining Sunflower from
January and we look forward to it!!

Sunflower has truly been a special association for our family, starting
from my eldest son, Akshay, who is now 14 to Arjun, a mighty four yr. old. With
Aksh we made some of our best friends as a family and despite moving to london
& new york still kept in touch 'cause such is the bond Sunfi. nurtures in us.
Thank you Mrs. T for all your caring which makes school such a wonderfully secure
environment for our children to blossom in. Arjun is extremely proud of his
letters especially the big A !

Its great to be back at Sunflower for a 2nd innings with Anshul... He loves going to meet "bakul & meghna aunty" every day! Mrs thakkar, there are a lot of spams on the bulletin board - some of it quite unsavoury from a school point of view... could we have someone clean up these please?

Hey Mrs Thakkar, I was pleasantly surprised to come across this site while
surfing the net. I have such amazing memories of Sunflower, especially the roof...I
believe I had a knack for climbing up it! I study in London now, but it would
be great to visit the school when I come down next. Thanks for all the memories-

We really enjoyed the salad Rehaan put together with the veggies and bean sprouts from market-week. Every day the bowl was mysteriously re filled and consumed with a passion rarely seen for greens in our home. Rehaan obviously enjoyed his shopping and it was fun for us at home as well.

Ashrita absolutely loved the market week and was wondering why it cant be everyday? Thanks Mrs.Thakkar, shetu, all the teachers and all the mothers who have put in tremendous effort in teaching the kids the whole concept of banking, grocery lists and shopping. Ashrita is going to remember this for a long long time.
Sonali Rao <sonalirao@hotmail.com> -
The idea of going shopping every morning quite appealed to Roshni. It was hard to get to see what she shopped though because she usually consumed it on the way home. Obviously, market week has been great fun. Thank you for teaching our children concepts of addition, subtraction and more through such a fun and real life way.

Dear Mrs. Thakkar, Sangeeta, Poorvi, all Teachers and Parents who made Market week Such a success, Thanks for making Shopping a fun and educational experience for Navadha. She bought vegetables on Monday and took a special pride serving Cooked ladies finger to us. Tuesday was fun as she got toothpaste and soap from the Grocer. Her grand parents were amazed to hear her talk about all the things that grocer had and how much itwould cost them if they had to buy things from the grocer. And on Wensday she was all excited that she had got Custard Apple and she made sure we all shared her Custard apple milk shake. Thursday was fun with gardening. And for her the best part was that she could decide what all she wanted to buy at the bakery (as she is not allowed otherwise :) and eat it too... And the exotic flowers she got for me from the florist were talk of the family. Even the Bank was very well introduced as she has been asking me to go to bank and withdraw money for our shopping. Maybe next time we can introduce Credit Cards :)

Dear Mrs. Thakkar, Ms. Meghna, Ms. Ashita,
Your market week is an excellent idea, our daughter Tara is very excited about her new purchase and has been showing it off to all at home. Our entire experience with the school right from day one has been superb. Tara has never once shown any reluctance to go to school. She enjoys her teachers, friends, and activities and sings us a new song at home everyday! Thanks, thanks, thanks.
Sandeep Banatwala <sbanatwala@vsnl.com> -
Tanisha has been quite excited coming home and telling us how school transforms to a vegetable market one day and a "coloring shop" the next. The week's been a real fun experience for the kids thanks to all of you teachers and moms who have put in a great deal of hard work and attn. to detail. Tanisha was engrossed for quite some time trying to figure out how the newspaper carry bag was made.. some great inputs here!

she was away on vacation for 10 days and I felt that each morning she was restless
as if missing out on action.Thank-you Mrs Thakkar, Bakul and Mahima!! We look
forward to some field visits now that the rains are abating and also would like
to offer assistance from our end for any project/exercise undertaken. Best regards

I was surfing the net trying to gather information about schools in Mumbai,
I hit your website. I used to look up the site every few days and was amazed at
the different activities that the kids did in school (felt like going back to
school myself). I have registered my son hoping to give him a stimulating, imaginative
and colorful childhood.

Dear Mrs Thakkar, Mahima and Bakul
Thank you for making Sunflower play group such a special place for my little daughter, Arianna. She loves it and always has so many stories to tell us in her own "baby talk" when she gets back-( not that we understand but seeing her so enthusiastic makes us happy). It makes me feel so comfortable that she is in such a safe and caring enviorment!!! i am sure she will get the best all round development that she needs.....3 Cheers for SUNFLOWER!!!!!!!!!!! and thank you all once again.
